home loan
Over the course of our lives we can accumulate countless debts, probably none lasting as long as a home loan. These payments can last over 40 years, depending on the terms, and often times they are not even paid off when the home is sold. Home loans, or mortgages, often transfer with title, meaning when the property is sold, the seller is no longer obligated to fulfill the payments. These types of debts attached to a home are called liens.
